jesus, you go away for 9 months and everything goes to shit.
currently abusing my rights as a guest at nick and elli's, playing "the bards tale" for far too many hours a day (but it's sooo good...and i'm actually getting somewhere for a change) and drinking more than i should, but hey i've got a lot to catch up on :) other than that not really up to much. finally got my application for the job in cheltenham sent off after a rather protracted fight with various printers, floppy drives, network cables and other technological odds and sods. hopefully it arrived in time. i really want this job! i'm not going to be too distraught if i don't get it. an interview would be nice. for one thing i could use the experience, but hey. of course getting it means moving down to glocestershire...
daisy made it up for my graduation and the grand meeting of the parents finally took place. it all seemed to go pretty well actually. my brother came down which probably helped things (my many many thanks to him for that) and mum was obviously making quite a lot of effort. so things on that front are looking up. now that's she's actually met daisy hopefully she'll start dealing with it a bit better than she has been. i'll no doubt get another lecture about "not following her around the country" if daisy gets her job but i don't get mine (we have a very complicated strategy involving horrible amounts of logististics about where we're going to live depending on the job situation...i won't go any further). however, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. could be quite a while before i see her again though *sigh* i'm having a bit of a down day about it [todays mantra: will not mope].
moving on to other completely unrelated things, i've just discovered that the evil eye do leiffmans. cherry AND rasberry. of course it's £3.50 and less than 3% so i might stick to desperados at $2.50 and 5.9% :) ah, that wonderful mixture of tequila and beer...

No matter where you and Daisy end up in the country, I will come and visit more often than I did when you were at uni... Which was, um, once. -.- I suppose it might help if I knew where I'm going to be in the next few months!
